Neff Cycle Service is looking to add two members to our team! A full-time mechanic and a part-to-full-time sales position.

Our goal at Neff Cycle Service is to provide top quality service and customer experience, while assisting a wide variety of cyclists. We are seeking applicants that will contribute to this mission. 

Applicants for either the mechanic or sales position should possess:

• The ability to communicate clearly with co-workers to keep the shop running smoothly

• The ability to stay focused, organized and productive during busy and distracting times

• The ability to work on Saturdays

Specifics for each position: 

Full-time Mechanic: 

The day to day of this job is highly oriented around servicing bikes, ranging from simple repairs to frame-up new bike assemblies. 

Applicants should have: 

• All of the above attributes
• A love for all things bikes, including all styles and levels of quality. We work on a huge variety of bicycles and our customers have many different goals and expectations
• A very strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to critically think and problem solve rapidly 
• A positive, can-do attitude (We work closely as a team and as a result each person's attitude day-to-day contributes deeply to our shared working environment)
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where a lot can be happening at once, wherein time management and focus are critical
• A proficient understanding of bikes, including how to work on hydraulic disc brakes and electronic drivetrains
• An eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges

Previous shop experience is a plus, but not required. If you are someone who loves working on bikes and wants to make it a career, we are willing to work with you to build experience. 

Sales, marketing, inventory management: 

We are also looking to add someone on the sales side of the shop. This position could be full or part-time depending on strengths and experience.

The daily tasks include: 

• Helping customers with purchases, finishing work orders, answering the phone, etc
• Assisting with special orders
• Receive and organize inventory
• Merchandising
• Social media updates and posting
• Website updates and management 
• Helping organize back end data (spreadsheets, customer data, e-mail lists, etc) 

Applicants for this position should be: 

• Highly organized and detail-oriented 
• Friendly and enjoy working with people
• Able to listen and learn where others are coming from quickly
• Comfortable with normal computer programs and tasks
• Able to follow protocol  
• Ability to notice what is going on around them and plug in as needed
